IT'S BACK!
My SEC Roster Turnover spreadsheet is back! Portal season can make it near impossible to keep up with what's happening with the teams of the SEC. Now I've got you covered.
The spreadsheet got quite the remodel this year! Stats, scholarships available for each team,
(THREAD) 21st Century Arkansas Head Coaches on the road:
Stan Heath - 25 tries to win 4 road games.
John Pelphrey - 23 tries to win 4 road games.
Mike Anderson - 27 tries to win 4 road games.
Eric Musselman - 7 tries to win 4 road games.
On this day in 2019: Nolan Richardson Court officially unveiled
The MBB Hogs have gone 30-5 at BWA since then. You can call that Nolan Richardson Court ADVANTAGE.
I’ve opened up the app to type a new tweet about 10 times, but I’m speechless. Words just don’t sum up what happened tonight.
I know 1 thing for certain: There’s Bud Walton Arena and then there’s everywhere else.
Here's a fun stat:
Arkansas: 8 NCAAT wins in the last 3 years
Alabama: 9 NCAAT wins in the last 20 years
Auburn: 9 NCAAT wins in the last 21 years
Florida: 8 NCAAT wins in the last 8 years
Georgia: 7 NCAAT wins in 118 year history
Kentucky: 9 NCAAT wins in the last 7 years
LSU:
One year ago today, Mike Anderson was fired. I was so sad.
Not for the program. I knew it was time.
I was sad for our state and for Mike. He was our “chosen son.”
Despite being fired, Mike was back in BWA just a few months later to honor Nolan. There’s only one Mike Anderson.
Y'all don't realize how much SDSU fans dislike Muss. Nevada and SDSU had some huge battles in the MWC just a few years ago.
They wanted to beat Muss so bad tonight....hence the SDSU fan rushing the Arkansas staff on the court postgame.
Tough game for Nick. He knows it.
Something stood out to me though:
When Devo fouled out, Nick came back in & locked up DeJaun Harris on the final possessions of the game. His number was called on in that spot and he delivered!
I hope he can put it together for 40 min. on Thur.
Did you know?
Arkansas has played in 31 football seasons in the SEC, but has had just 7 winning SEC records. Counting four .500 years, the Hogs have had just 11 out of 32 seasons of .500 or better in SEC play.
Maybe we are who we are. That’s a hard truth to accept.
Am I
-Texas A&M is overrated in the preseason
-Season begins with A&M proving they’ve been overhyped
-Hog fans believe that this is finally the year we will beat A&M
-Arkansas invents new way to lose football game in Jerry World
-Rinse & Repeat
The Missouri fanbase celebrated Trevon Brazile’s knee injury, told him they were glad it happened, are surprised by his comments, and think he’s the problem.
Gross, yet predictable behavior.
Jimmy Dykes - “Justin Smith has made zero impact on this game.”
Justin Smith has 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, and is our most important defender.
DID YOU KNOW:
Part of Will Wade’s NCAA Violation was taking care of 2 former players who were on their way to careers overseas. They had a serious wreck that altered careers and Wade took care of them.
Players LOVE him
AAU programs LOVE him
He’s not what the fanbase thinks he
Vermont has played 33 games this season. Only 4 were against teams ranked in the top 125 of adjusted defensive efficiency.
In those 4 games, UV scored 53, 57, 58, and 63 points.
79th ranked Providence is the highest the Caramounts have faced. Arkansas finished 16th in adjDE.
Here's a stat that blew my mind:
There is one SEC men's basketball team that went the last 10 seasons without having a losing season.
That one team?
YOUR ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS
Chad Morris and Auburn needed:
-Arkansas to be without its’ All-SEC RB, All-SEC WR, best DL, and best CB.
-A blocked punt TD, a failed PAT, and dropped 2 point conversion.
-A premature whistle that negated what was the game losing fumble.
Let's summarize what happened:
-The Missouri fanbase had an integral part in the nonsense that happened on socials this week.
-Missouri held a white out in a game against a team that is 10-10(1-6 in SEC play)
-Arkansas destroys Missouri in all aspects of the game from
Arkansas Head Coaches on the road:
Nolan Richardson 7th road win in 26th road game.
Stan Heath - 7th road win in 37th road game.
John Pelphrey - 7th road win in 36th road game.
Mike Anderson - 7th road win in 34th road game.
Eric Musselman - 7th road win in 19th road game.
247 has updated their composite rankings. The composite rankings balance all the reputable recruiting sites.
The Arkansas 2022 class:
#6
- Nick Smith
#18
- Jordan Walsh
#56
- Derrian Ford
#87
- Barry Dunning
#89
- Joseph Pinion
That’s good for the
#2
class in the country!
2 years of Arkansas Men's Basketball with
@EricPMusselman
at the helm:
Overall: 45-19
Home: 30-5
Neutral: 6-2
Road: 9-12(a school best in the last 71 years)
Can someone explain the Bobby Bones hate from our fanbase?
It is completely ridiculous. He’s one of us. He represents us extremely well. He goes out of his way to promote the Hogs no matter what platform he's on.
It’s embarrassing and I'm ashamed of you who do it.
Senior Night doesn’t have the luster it once did in college basketball. Early draft entries and the portal are to blame. You just don’t see guys stick around 4 years anymore.
With that said, Devo Davis will be going through the Senior Night ceremonies tonight. No matter what
I am officially a season ticket holder for
@RazorbackMBB
. As a kid, that was a dream.
BWA is going to be a madhouse this year!
If you are looking for tickets to early season games for a good price, hit me up.
Mason Jones didn’t light up the scoreboard tonight. Shot just 3-12 for 13 points, but have you seen the rest of his stat line?
6 rebounds, 9 assists, and 3 steals.
Just because you aren’t shooting well doesn’t mean you can’t impact the game.
Can you imagine being an Alabama fan and complaining about officiating?
I’m so jealous of those people. They’ve benefitted from the stripes forever. They’ve been protected by
@SEC
forever.
NEWS: Arkansas guard Layden Blocker is entering the transfer portal, a source tells me.
Blocker is a former 4⭐️ recruit out of Little Rock, Arkansas. He played his final two high school seasons for
@sunrisehoops
.
He averaged 3.7PPG, 1.7RPG and 1.1APG during his freshman season.
That game turned when
@CoachSmarty23
and the staff made the change to have Au’Diese Toney guard Eric Gaines.
Toney locked up Gaines and the LSU drought began.
Arkansas made 26 field goals.
Memphis made 26 field goals.
Arkansas made 7 threes.
Memphis made 8 threes.
Arkansas made 20 FTs.
Memphis made 24 FTs.
Where did those 4 FTs come from?🤔🤔🤔
What a monster win. Don't undersell this one, Hog fans. The ominous streak is finally over. Florida's best 2 players had great games, but Arkansas was still able to win in Gainesville.
They keep finding a way!
I couldn't have been more wrong and I'm thrilled I was.
Not a joke here: Cam may be my favorite player on the team.
I deserve the traction this is getting. Thanks,
@OldTakesExposed
!
What an absolute joke.
Imagine being a Suns fan(like myself) and thinking/hoping you’d get the
#1
or
#2
in the draft. Zion or Morant.
BUT instead we draft a kid that wasn’t even invited to the green room LOLOL
@Suns
you are an absolute dumpster fire of an organization
I enjoy Fieldof68. I enjoy Goodman’s scoops and what he brings to CBB.
With that said, his comment last year about Rothstein “carrying water for every coach in the country” continues to be one of the most ironic things I’ve seen on this app.
Hog fans, I’m pleading with you to put your hate aside and support a Will Wade hire….I mean really support it. It’s what you should be wanting at this point!
Trust me, things get dire very quickly if Arkansas does not hire him.
I’m seeing some weeping on Arkansas over Florida. Recency bias is an epidemic in the sports world.
Yes, Florida has the 2 titles. Back to back. Arkansas lost in the final game or it would have accomplished the same.
Arkansas has 36 NCAAT bids over Florida’s 23.
Arkansas has 6
