A mad dash to Sandwell Valley to see the White-tailed Plover. As a VC39 Staffs county lister, this fell well within Old Staffordshire. A massive well done to Pete Hackett for a great find.

One of the jewels of spring passage scarcities on any inland reservoir. This Black-necked Grebe was very mobile, before settling off the dam.

Went to see my 2nd Pallid Harrier in Staffs this morning at Middleton RSPB, though this will officially go down as the first, as my 2012 Belvide bird was deemed not proven. A firm two fingers up to BBRC as I will always regard mine as the first.
