@Jabaluck How about the social impact of making roadways work for kids, parents w/ strollers, boomers w/cute little shopping carts, dog walkers, bicyclists, scooter riders, & forget about whether someone in a comfortable car takes 5 minutes more to get from point A to point B?

@nobodyspec34 @hookskat So then, are saved Christians to care for the poor? I would argue, yes.

@MorningShitter @asphyxiac @RandomHvacGuy @Miriam2626 @DeliberativeAss The people in Judea were living under occupation by the Romans. "We have no king but Caesar!" (It's in the Bible, look it up.)

@nobodyspec34 @hookskat Once a person has salvation, how are they to behave? Matthew 25:31-46 is one indication.

@iambenga @Ronxyz00 When you read DOGE findings you are shocked because what you see are cherry-picked, misrepresented, and misunderstood findings, deliberately presented so you will be shocked. In addition, there are memes of DOGE findings that are plain lies.

@nobodyspec34 @hookskat That's right. So might you agree that this situation (foreshadowing of Jesus' passion and death) is not intended as a general instruction to stop caring for the poor?

@nobodyspec34 @hookskat That was a very specific circumstance. When during Jesus' ministry did this happen? Who was the disciple who objected? How did Jesus explain it? And for contrast, what did Jesus say to the rich man who asked how he could enter the kingdom of heaven?

Trump on Gaza: Weā€™ll build beautiful communities for the people of Gaza somewhere else. In the meantime, Iā€™ll own it. Think of it as a real estate development for the future. Baier: Would the Palestinians have the right to return to Gaza? Trump: No, they wouldnā€™t.

@scott73187192 @highbrow_nobrow @atrupar When I worked from home, there was one day I logged less than 100 steps on the pedometer. I often kept working through the normal time to go home. I forgot to eat lunch. There were none of the usual signals to take breaks, eat meals, "go home."
