Crossed fingers for everyone who has @ace_national Dycp applications in process…we’ve done well simply to write ourselves special.

Very very good. Clever. Is it poetry? Or prose? Genre-bending literature that expands my understanding of Chile, and of Chileans. Thank you for lending it to me, Ulrike.

We used a poem by @theferocity this morning in our writing workshop. The Mississippi is a different place to the Penryn River, but we got there. Magic.

Freshwater mixing with salt, waters edge this morning. Beware- noisy sea! Preparing myself mentally for running a poetry workshop for Falmouth Fringe. It went great- talented writers, good coffee, quiet room, focus and inspiration.

@MZarrop I like this poem, good for this time of the year when herons seem more visible on the riverbanks, their grey silvered against the shoreline.

Backwards poem research- anyone else ever read a poem (Chernobyl brides @CarolineBirdUK) and gone backwards to find the source of inspiration? Seeking the springboard? I loved uplifting and poignant (hey I sound a little like a reviewer!)

Boatyard. Time to lift the vessels out of the water for the winter. Looking out the window today…not quite yachting weather.

@susie_dent Body is bone-house. My favourite example of kennings is Carol Ann Duffy’s Trump poem.

From Sea Summit by Yi Lu. I love poetry that has been translated, when it’s printed next to the original. This one is ‘My Own Sea’. What would yours look like?
