There's a teenage girl in the bed across from me crying for her Mam, who was allowed visit earlier, but was told to leave because she's not dilated enough. She's a child? Covid doesn't only occur outside of allocated times. Pointlessly cruel.
I will scream if I see one more attractive, slim, white woman in her knickers slumped over in an Instagram picture with a caption about, 'real bodies'. I am at the scream threshold, the scream edge, it rumbles in my throat for sweet release.
I can't believe I'm writing this, but baby and I took a turn and had to have an emergency section, 8 weeks early
The staff in the Rotunda were amazing, but it's been frightening and lonely. I haven't met my little girl. I'm stable. I hope to have a happier update soon. ❤️
As I walked back from the vigil, alone and carrying my baby, a man followed me down the street shouting at me to remove my mask. A group of lads cheered at him. We don’t even get to mourn in peace.
Unfortunately Mam's been moved to intensive care as she isn't breathing on her own. Just really at a loss to not have anyone else, and to have no chance to see her. Hold your loved ones tight.
As a disabled person WITH a small child, I would love if you stopped using me as your validation for anti-pedestrianisation.
Cars do not equal accessibility, and stop speaking for me.
If all these protestors are my neighbours, why are they getting off of private buses en masse?
Stop claiming to speak for us actual residents, you’re the ones who need to go home.

My daughter is the only Irish child in her class at creche. Every one of her amazing carers is an immigrant, and has shown her endless love.
This really broke my heart yesterday. I truly hope we can make them feel safe again.
We are outraged that

are increasing rent in on-campus student accommodation by 4% for 2020/21 😡
This means that from September a single room in the campus Goldcrest student accommodation will be €750 a month.
Full statement here:
There's a group of older people on my road who pal around together, walk their dogs, play bingo, all the dream retirement activities. Well they just knocked in and asked could they knit some presents for my baby, and I may never stop sobbing? Angels
If vaccinated medical staff are comfortable with a named partner at specific times, what risk does the same partner pose at any other times? Don't get me started on the total ban on hospital visits, but it's just so awful to see vulnerable people in such distress.
I had to report threats to the Gardaí, got plastic fetus dolls through the door, had vile messages in my locker, was reported to my employers, even had people threaten my Mam.
The no side were not professional - Delighted to see the backs of them.
Old Ireland's dead and gone.
Mattie McGrath, no. I cannot agree that there was professionalism from

We saw private citizens harassed on a scale I've never seen in Ireland. Your will full ignorance of this will be remembered at the ballot box.
Went totally blind after giving birth.
Hopefully about to be booked for major surgery, with no guarantee I’ll regain my sight, but no other options.
Know I’m a rare case: But pregnancy, I can’t say I recommend it?
My beautiful boy Leo died unexpectedly tonight.
He was only two, and he was the sweetest and dumbest little creature you’ve ever met. We’re just devastated.
First time cuddling Ella, she's doing so well in NICU and we're so incredibly proud of her. We just wish we could be all be together ❤️

You have all made history. You have made an Ireland to be proud of, in the name of everyone who has been failed and isolated. This is your Ireland now.

Stayed in and offline for the weekend and somehow missed the rise of the far-right in East Wall? Please don’t assume the fascists are all locals. This is my area, my road, with the kindest residents I’ve ever met. NP cronies have been chased out of here time and again.
Between medical bills, college loans, funeral costs, and general life I've been in debt since 19. This week I finally clear it completely. Some burdens are more literal than others, but this feels so incredibly freeing.
Too brief of a honeymoon, but I'm

Ready for the Ireland I deserve, you deserve, everyone who has ever faced the same journey as me alone deserves. We are not criminals, we need this, we WILL repeal this.
A building in Portland Place has been set alight after word spread it would house people seeking international protection.
Is that protest yeah? Is that genuine concern?
How many of us have been shamed on social media for not reporting? This is why we don't report.
The only lives disassembled and ruined in rape trials are that of the victims.
Rape is illegal? Hardly on this island.

Something very ironic about the drastic rise in anti-Muslim sentiment in Ireland when these incredible women are the near-sole providers for our most vulnerable citizens.
We had to run into penneys & get clothes for a lady who was in a terrible situation after having been assaulted. One of our service users collapsed with chest pain today. We gave him first-aid until the ambulance arrived. It took the ambulance over 25 mins to get to the GPO.
It’s my birthday.
The first without my Mam.
A year since I lost my sight, and im back in the hospital with another life-altering illness.
I must’ve been booting babies and the elderly in a past life lads, give me a BREAK.
FYI for trans men and BC survivors based in Ireland:
Dublin Makeup Academy are looking for models for their areola tattoo service, particularly if you’ve had a mastectomy or top surgery. It’s free of charge.
Twitter - I know you're used to my merry health updates, but I've just been diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, so I'd really love if you'd keep me and baby in your thoughts for the next few weeks ❤️
Don't tell us not to celebrate. We will celebrate. We deserve this. And you can sit on that precious middle-ground for the rest of your lives, never knowing quite how much we have deserved this.
But. We. Will. Celebrate.

DOZENS of migrants were removed from one of the country’s main refugee centres yesterday
But heated scenes broke out when approximately 40 male International Protection applicants were not allowed to re-enter the building

Got a 12k revenue bill last week for ‘maternity overpayment’ which seemed… inaccurate. Resubmitted three years of returns and they actually owe me over a grand. SUCK IT (i.e. remember to balance your liabilities next month).
Hello friends!
Before Mam passed, I promised her I would seek an autism assessment. She had tried for years throughout my childhood to get me support, to little avail. Delighted to say I am now *officially* autistic. Looking forward to a lot of healing and a lot of learning ❤️
I can’t use a car, I use public transport. If you suddenly care about my rights, call for infrastructural improvements *across* the country, not a few extra parking spots in Dublin City centre.
✨Good news✨
Mam is doing so well with her cancer treatment, she's even off the ventilator. They also let me visit this evening, which was a real balm for my heart. ❤️
Better days for us all to come.
Gardaí are to be given powers to enforce rules around social gatherings such as those in place for restaurants and bars, as well as gatherings in private homes which should not now be more than six people
Thankfully she's been moved to the labour ward where her birth partner can be present, but I can't imagine how frightening the last few hours have been for her..
‘I can’t get to X from Y without a car’. Right! We’ve identified the same issue, that’s accessibility too. There needs to be alternatives. We should have all have accessible, affordable, and convenient transportation options.
My mam spent years training herself to eat less so she could afford to feed me. She worked through profound hardship and still ended up needing to put me in care becuase of illness and poverty. We're still rebuilding years later. How dare you judge a life you haven't lived.
We're both doing really well, NICU Staff are unsurprisingly lovely, even if I can't hold her it's lovely to just be nearby.
And I will never cease to be amazed at nurses and midwives, truly better than any of us could possibly deserve.
The third evening of these yokes blocking our roads and requiring Garda presence too, how do you actually have nothing better to do with your time than intimidating vulnerable people?
This would be a very good time for some state-funded affordable counselling, wouldn't it?
Your healthcare system should not be centred on charity, pass it on.
Solidarity needed here: Please try to join this demonstration on Wednesday if you’re a northsider, even a few minutes is valuable. Bring your posters, bring your families. Let’s show that
