This is a wonderful story of perseverance through what I’m sure was a terrifying experience. I look forward to seeing this warrior back on the field in September.
Felt inclined to share a bit of my story as I believe some people need to hear this. As an athlete, it can be very easy to take for granted what God has gave us the ability to do and not capitalize on our days. Everyday can tend to feel the same if you are not grateful.

@tallyoda16 @PeteThamel Depends on how the contract is written and if it is within the NCAA rules and court rulings. If the contract had an agreement that he wouldn’t transfer, don’t you think UW would have led with that?

It would be wise to withhold judgment on this situation without seeing the contract. UW’s wording in the statement seems to show there was no actual agreement to not transfer. Who knows if a clause like that is even permissible in today’s rules governed by courts and the NCAA?
Wisconsin releases a statement regarding the departure of Xavier Lucas to Miami. "We have credible information indicating impermissible contact between Xavier and University of Miami football program personnel prior to Xavier’s request to enter the transfer portal." Wisconsin says a "binding" agreement was violated.
