For 2 years, we heard nothing but how WKU would dominate this new CUSA. No school tried harder to leave this conference. No fanbase begged more to leave this conference.

CUSA has added 5 FCS teams in the past few years out of the 12 teams in the conference. CUSA is basically a glorified FCS conference.

Homie, Liberty could play in the NFL and still have gotten stomped by Oregon. The Fiesta Bowl was about how good Oregon was, not how weak CUSA was.
Of course when we play that kind of competition all season long we aren’t going to be ready for a P4 opponent like Oregon. It’s not the players fault we play in a terrible football conference.

I'm rooting so hard for the Judy MacCleod's comeback story. I suppose we won't be able to fairly judge her tenure until it's time to renegotiate the media deal in a few years. But if she keeps current CUSA members on board during the next wave, she has accomplished a whole lot.
Conference USA was at death's door two years ago amid realignment and now has the New Year's Six spot.
Very cool moment and turnaround for that league. A lot of fun football this season.
