I agree centrists not necessarily warmongers. But as we saw in 2002-3, self-interest led many to support Blair's warmongering ignoring (a) lack of evidence & (b) popular opposition. David Miliband was a case in point. No principles whatsoever. Same today amongst Labour centrists.

Staggering to see that the US used its veto 27 times to protect Israeli apartheid. All the time pretending to be an honest broker of peace.
USSR heavily vetoed in UN after 1945. But in the last 25 years of Cold War, the UK cast twice the number of vetoes in UN Security Council as USSR, and US 5 times as many. In the mainstream this is referred to as ‘Russian obstruction of the UN’. (from my book, The Great Deception)
