Should young players throw weighted balls like the pros? I grew up throwing whatever I could find—muddy baseballs, footballs, basketballs, rocks, tennis balls, whiffle balls. I climbed trees, rode bikes, played sandlot baseball, kickball, football, and tetherball at recess. The real issue today isn’t weighted balls—it’s how young players move‼️ Many lack the balance, coordination, stability, and flow that came naturally from an active childhood. Instead of focusing on the tool, we should focus on building better movers.
