Smarmy attorney. Captain of chivalry. Baron of decency. Tadpole of villainy. Yeoman, Starfleet. If knaves persist and insist, I shall resist till they desist.
Although born in this century
At all times I believe in decency
And I worship truth and its currency
My abilities, inclinations are forensic
To these principles I'll stick
Follow me at your risk
From a fallen angel, a hidden kiss
Trump Employee No. 4 is Yuscil Taveras, his IT director at Mar-a-Lago.
In a Cassidy Hutchinson pivot, he has jettisoned his former Trump-given lawyer, recanted his prior testimony, and is now singing lustily to the Special Counsel like a Lark . . .
@KarenSSlater
@alexnazaryan
Yes. You don't have to be a Congressperson to become Speaker. Which is a glaring anomaly, like much else in this fading democracy.
@American_Bridge
As soon as I learn that a person is MAGA, I dismiss them. No need for further conversation. Their support for Trump tells me everything I need to know.
Before Kid Rock grew out his hair and started mimicking rednecks and toting around AR-15s, he was a rich kid in Detroit suburbs who had a well-known fixation on black women . . .
@SirBylHolte
No, Trump only saw "good people, on both sides" of a Nazi march. He only imposed a Muslim ban, which included countries with black people.
But I guess since none of this appears to have personally affected "Byl Holte," he's sitting as pretty as Kanye West amidst the Kardashians.
@Stop_Trump20
A day in the life of a right wing fellow:
1) Breakfast with sour grapes.
2) Hate blacks, lesbians/gay, immigrants.
3) Tussle with wild life in camouflage outfit.
4) No sex available, so guns.
5) Dinner with vinegar and bitters.
@ProfMMurray
Justice Alito has been emboldened by the perceived inviolable armor of a conservative super majority Supreme Court.
He no longer sees himself as constrained by precedent. Or even decency. We essentially now have trolls on the Bench, as can be gleaned from the Dobbs decision.
@johnrich
Lol. Firstly, we didn't fall for anything. Most of us lived.
Second of all, kindness? You stormed restaurants demanding to be served when the owners were concerned about their employers. You fought air flight employees and delayed multiple fights.
But sure. Kindness.
Thoughts on abolishing Social Security from a legal vantage point since this has become the obsession du jour with Republicans.
If they try it, they will create the biggest class action lawsuit ever, because everyone who has paid into it will automatically have standing to sue.
@HaroldsBro
I also look like a black guy. That's possibly because I am in fact a black guy.
In fact, looking back on it, it appears that I have been a black guy virtually all of my life.
@FrankMikeDavis1
Nancy Pelosi has no authority to order the National Guard to aid the Capitol Police officers.
The National Guard can only be activated by the President and in certain cases by the governor of a state.
Washington D.C., by the way, has no National Guard, as it is not a state.
@thomaskaine5
As a black person, I never use them. Had a horrible incident when a security guard chased us outside after using one of the self-checkout registers.
He didn't apologize when our receipt matched our purchases. It wouldn't have mattered. Our dignity had scattered to the 4 winds.
@jimrosecircus1
While man-eating lions are never to be desired, and are usually a sign of things to come . . .
. . .Bon appetit to my feline friends . . .

Mississippi. If I had three choices I'd pick Alabama and Oklahoma too.
Places where if I died and was buried there, my body would instantly resurrect and walk across state lines.
Easter or no Easter.
I am on Chris Rock's side. The best comedians are usually offensive. Including Dave Chappelle, arguably the best of them.
Black celebrities have to be extra careful. This was on live TV. One moment of satisfaction. A lifetime of regret. This will tarnish his good boy image.
@ReportsDaNews
@kevinbr10266244
It's easy to throw stones at leadership. But uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.
Democrats have no majority without Joe Manchin. That's a simple fact, and nothing Schumer can do.
Manchin is from West Virginia which went for Trump by over 40%. Those are the factors.
@vicky_dollysmom
I had years of rage and years of patience with people of that ilk.
Now, I feel mainly indifference to them, unless they pose a physical danger to me.
I have no desire to acquaint myself with anyone who's moral compass is that warped.
@ThisIsKyleR
To summarize, you killed two men in defense of a parking lot.
The protest didn't concern you, but intimidation looks good from the barrel of a long gun.
Have a sit-down conversation with your conscience.
@Myberns1
Most bad people I know are religious.
They are insulated from self-awareness by their presumed piety and righteousness.
It's a reverse correlation.
@BeschlossDC
@ZuzuBriar
For a long time I wondered how Germans could let one man commit them to pure evil.
And then it happened to us. Farewell to the tangerine menace. The Press is in the Constitution for a reason.
@Jamie24272184
It looks like a scorpion/spider hybrid. I'm something of a pacifist, but in this case the soundtrack from James Bond's Live and Let Die is ringing in my head.
That thing must die.
Michael Cohen says Trump subpoenaing him is a dumb move. I’ll go further.
It’s the equivalent of a man purchasing a gun, taking aim at his own big toe, and pulling the trigger.
Cohen is a hostile witness to Trump. He knows were the bodies are buried.
@PernilleViese
You’re never more lonely than when you are with the wrong person, as I have learned.
And if there’s companionship in misery, I am spending my Easter at the office, working.
@PimentoMr
@adamkraymond
Actually you do. There has to be reasonable suspicion or probable cause to request identification or engage a citizen.
What you just watched was a violation of both the search and seizure components of the Fourth Amendment. It's fairly open and shut.
Zelensky’s response to Mexican President’s opinion that he should compromise with Putin.
“Did you see Putin compromise with Chechnya? With Georgia? With Moldova? No. He divided and occupied those countries.”
Democrats had to help out Speaker John Boehner because he lacked the Republican votes to become speaker.
McCarthy - having burned every bridge to a charred crisp - will enjoy no such charity . . .

John Wayne: “I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. I don’t believe in giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people."
Yeah. That did it for me.
The most profound differences between Hunter and the Kushners are thes:
Hunter was never a White House employee. He’s a private citizen. At the pertinent times his father was VP, with only as much power as was ceded to him by his Obama.
Kushner was making policy for the US.

BA in political science = collecting dust
Minor in Management Information Systems = collecting dust.

That's because they were passing Obamacare and numerous programs calculated to rescue the U.S. from the very real recession that George W. Bush left behind.
I wasn't even a Democrat at the time, but I believe in calling a spade, a spade.
@SirBylHolte
You are misinformed. It was the politics of discrimination.
The terrorists who attacked on 9/11 all came from one country: Saudi Arabia (SA), which was not on the ban list.
SA - from which Kushner and Ivanka collected a cool $ billion - was the first country visited by Trump.
@shillman1
For me? The answer would be a solid yes.
I would mail the U.S. government a check for my costly tuition, and be rid of that monkey on my back forever.
@PatriotMike15
I know hate can be irrational, but you do realize that Whoopi Goldberg quit Twitter in November 2022, after Musk took over, right?
He banned her after she quit? Sure, that checks out.
@DutchessWoodall
As a lawyer, due process concerns me. Everyone should have a chance to defend himself.
You can’t wait till a man dies, then make and release a documentary to murder his legacy.
They were given every chance to speak up while he was alive.
@bennyjohnson
In politics the GOP perpetrates a tyranny of the minority by gerrymandering, suppressing minority votes, etc.
In pop culture, they can't cancel anything because they simply don't have the numbers. Just ask Nike, after Kaepernick.
Your backlash will be like your red wave.
As a North Carolina Democrat switches parties to give Republicans a veto-proof supermajority in the state House, one might recommend that stunts like that be called “pulling a Sinema.”
On Brittney Griner. When black, your patriotism is always questioned. Obama was called unAmerican. So was Colin Kaepernick.
But the man who always seems to marry east European foreigners, who sided with Putin over his own country.
That man, he's all American.
@DonLew87
@darafaye
“He looked suspicious?”
For a police officer to engage a citizen, there must be a reasonable suspicion or probable cause that a crime is afoot.
It is called the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. It would be so nice if our police learned it.
@JasonOverstreet
@yturner
In the 60s? Holy hell, yes it was hard.
My parents were students in Oregon in the late 60s and early 70s. They left the US as soon as they were done. They couldn’t handle the racism.
@itsJeffTiedrich
The man was not a phantom menace in a planet far away. He was and is a real and present danger in this one.
It is rare to see a man so relentlessly corrupt. So endlessly scheming. And who spends his spare time collecting impeachment trials.
I hope this sticks.
@michellehex1212
I attended boarding school and was repeatedly raped by a much older boy after classes, when the teachers left. I also never told anyone. Not only because of the shame. But also because we were Catholic and it was drilled into us that homosexuality is as horrific a sin as murder.
@ProjectLincoln
This is the same man who claimed that Obamacare was the worst thing, next to slavery.
His capacity for logical deductions is in serious question.
@resistersiste20
What matters is what you and he think. Happiness is its own outcome, and society doesn’t pay your bills.
Emanuel Macron, the President of France is 44 years old. His wife is his former teacher and is 68.

Lawyers like you make me embarrassed to be one.
You're supposed to be on the side of, you know, the law.
The Constitution being the supreme law of the land, not Trump's mewlings.
@AudreyStJames1
@HayhurstJean
I used to say I'd vote for anything with a pulse against these clowns.
But I revised that dating. I don't even need a pulse.
@JMeanypants
It's true that I am probably in no immediate danger, but that's not the calculation for me.
I carry a concealed handgun because of credible threats that I received as a prosecutor.
Some of those perps are out of prison now, filled with anger and malice.
The following presidents still receive intelligence briefings, and still have a security clearance:
1) Jimmy Carter
2) Bill Clinton
3) George W. Bush
4) Barack Obama
5) (The occupant of this number has been conspicuously skipped)
6) Joe Biden
Herschel Walker would not survive a debate with a pillowcase stuffed with feathers, but thinks he’s equipped to take on Joy Reid. There are surely better ways to get humiliated, and in less of a public arena.
Herschel demands to debate
@JoyAnnReid
: “Any time of the day. Any day of the week she want to debate. She can show up here and I’ll debate her. She can come up with the subject, and let’s go at it.”

A counterfeit $20 bill can get you killed, but assault with a hammer and a truck gets you comfortably arrested.
Where do I sign up to become white?
My poor German Shepherd now limps sometimes, after long walks. Anyone experience this? I would be grateful for a suggestion for a solution that works . . .

@Para_Doc
@briantylercohen
Racism. That's what's going on. People are willing to ignore Trump's foibles because he's their blunt albeit orange instrument of hate.
@tribelaw
I'm not sure that I'd quite go that far. But Graham certainly is not summoning Mueller for any genuine factfinding session.
It will be a dog and pony show, with Lindsey Graham waxing righteous, and Ted Cruz's absurd mustache quivering in affirmation.
@GSmokesweed1
Lovely people. Considerate neighbors. And I should know. I live right across the border.
In the days of orange, I pretended to be Canadian. It was too embarrassing otherwise.
@Lorrain22492203
No, I'm with you sister. We have ejected Kanye West from being a member of the tribe, anyways.
His ego would cripple the economy and overburden our collective racial tolerances.
I stopped watching the State of the Union addresses because I was so appalled at how President Obama was heckled, unlike any President before him.
Once a GOP House member yelled at the top of his lungs: “You lie!” I’d had it. Now I only catch the highlights.
@DC_Draino
Yes. Trump, that rough, tough man who fires people via tweet because he can't bear to do it in person.
That draft-dodging wunderkind whose "personal Vietnam" was dodging STDs.
A suspension of reality and rationality is what it takes to be an acolyte of monsieur orange.
@DrMcKinn
@MSNBC
@NicolleDWallace
Yes! And Democrats should not conform to the deal that was originally brokered between the parties because the Republicans broke faith. Seriously, Democrats.
People don't understand how enraging it is to be called the n-word. It is a name that conjures up nooses, lynching, torture, murder. Most black people tolerate it. But sometimes there'll be consequences.
@tribelaw
I'm sure everyone attending is thrilled to have been spared his malignant, maskless presence.
The man attempted a coup. It's no small thing, and we can't just act like it didn't happen.
At this rate, Obama is setting up to be not just ex-POTUS, and a recipient of the Nobel Peace prize, but also an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) recipient.
This ubiquitous Kenyan might well be the best President of the US in my lifetime.
Some paid actors showed up at the scene, claiming to be “Blacks for Trump.” Notably, the band Earth, Wind and Fire has had more members than this sorry band . . .
For those who worry that earth will go extinct, don't you worry. I have great, scintillating news.
Nick Cannon and Herschel Walker will repopulate the earth in short order. All in a day's work.
I was surprised when Alec Baldwin was charged, quite frankly. The Prosecutor has an uphill task. I am not as familiar with that state’s laws, but how to establish intent/negligence/gross negligence/recklessness when he relied on others whose job it was to care for the props . . .
NEW: NM drops the gun enhancement charge because the new law wasn’t in effect when the shooting happened. The state contends they dropped it because of the litigious nature of the defense and doesn’t admit their mistake.
@Toast2Karin
@jimrosecircus1
It's true. The man wasn't even home. But the angry tiger tracked him by scent and found his house.
The tiger methodically destroyed anything that had his scent.
Then he waited for over 10 hours for the man to come home and killed him when he did.
@ThisIsKyleR
Killing two people kind of makes you a polarizing figure, blame alleged "wokeness" all you want.
Was your speech on how to kill in America and get away with it? That is the extent of your expertise.
@Eiggam5955
I did the exact opposite. Went from being an independent to signing up as a Democrat.
Because no wild beast, no unnatural force, no conceivable evil would ever have me vote for a Republican again.
Better the imperfect ally than the deadly enemy.
I've handled defamation cases. The standard is so high that it's an easy case to lose via motion for summary judgement without even getting to a jury.
This Dominion v. Fox News case is the strongest I have ever observed. A jury could find actual malice, with these facts.
Wow. Turns out Garth Brooks is a swell guy. Glad I’ve been a closet listener of his. The country music crowd is not one I generally would feel safe with, given my darkened demographics . . .
@BeachRunner26
I was a movie buff, and I went to the movies by myself all the time. In fact I preferred it.
I particularly liked matinees. They are quiet, and the hoodlums who usually talk inappropriately while the movie is in progress usually sleep late.
I am a bit too busy for that now.
The attorney-client privilege is iron clad, except where the relationship has been used to further a crime.
It’s a bolt of lightning on a calm afternoon. Special Counsel wants Trump’s attorney to testify. Very big deal.
Jeopardy lies around the corner.
