Surviving evolutionary forces requires adaptation. We're in a very difficult position against SARS-CoV-2. For many, the effort required to adapt to what might, or is even likely to happen, is simply too much. Attacking people who remind them of this possibilty is easier.

Went to an art gallery exhibit opening last night for a very short time. My wife is an artist with a work on display. Many older people. Crowded. Someone coughing. We were the only ones in masks (respirators) apart from one older person. I wonder whose life changed last night? 🤔

The social pressure to drop masks is increasing already. I could sense it already at the supermarket today. We want to save Ukrainians on the other side of the world and yet many don't have the common-sense to avoid a highly infectious pathogen in their backyard. Go figure.
