For women, the benefits are clear. Highlighting costs to men serves as a compelling incentive—*a motivation not readily attained otherwise*—for men to move away from the more misogynic roles and behaviors that adversely harm women.

Traditional male roles offer mixed privileges, but key gendered arrangements impose significant costs. Recognizing these dynamics supports informed choices, helping men achieve better outcomes for themselves—mirroring progress made by women.

We propose a framework that synthesizes research across disciplines on how gendered arrangements shape men’s relationships, career paths, and health—complementing the existing focus on women's disadvantages.
