As a teenager, I was once a nice Catholic virgin in a middle class family. I regret now that I attended a pro-life rally. I had no understanding or empathy of a women’s need and right to choose. We cannot go back to those dark days. And the GOP and Canadian Cons are hypocrites!

I met my husband at 52 he was 56. He chatted me up on a one air plane flight. We were living 2500 miles apart and started a phone friendship. A year later he packed his truck, moved across country and we’re happily married 13 years later. Knew he was right for me after 1 hour.

I love how in shows like Grey’s Anatomy, there are no nurses. The MDs do everything! And on other shows, when a nurse comes in the room, she quietly adjusts the IV which is not on a pump, and leaves the room without a word to the patient! We aren’t just servants in the background

Today I helped a very anxious patient to get a COVID shot. Spent time talking with her and answering her?. I offered to come with her to get the shot and she agreed. I thanked her for thinking of others. Felt good - this is why I’m a nurse 👩⚕️
