In the interior rural areas of Maharashtra, during my travel there, without knowing Marathi and the local folks not knowing Kannada....Hindi was the language that helped us communicate.

In my team in between meetings they used to switch to hindi every now & then, so when my turn comes manager used to ask for my opinion, & I told them I could not understand anything as you spoke in Hindi and made them repeat everything in English. 1/n
I reported to HR about the normalization of speaking Hindi during some conversations in our team meetings at work. All my teammates stopped doing that ever since. Every South Indian should report this to HR to bring the change. Hindians at work will only listen to HR/bosses.

I speak Kannada at home. But found English more useful, whenever I traveled beyond cities in other states. I have used Basic English in Delhi,West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala etc.
English is far more useful than Hindi.

Good to see Suresh Angadi taking oath in English and not Hindi. Ideally he should have used Kannada. If the constitution does not allow to take oath in Kannada, then it’s a constitutional flaw which needs to be amended.
