Lol what a ridiculous conclusion. Stockists take the cake and the entire bakery on propaganda. So NTK more than doubled its vote share by targeting EVR? Isn't that awesome? Neither did NTK lose because of targeting EVR. Nor did DMK gain by defending him. This spin won't work. 😂😂😂
BJP has successfully tested the waters in Erode East elections to check how Tamil Nadu people would respond if a party goes on an offensive against Periyar and his ideals and the answer couldn't have been more clear - Touch Periyar and that would be a sure shot way for political demise. Their 'Team Partner' Naam Tamizhar has ended up being the Guinea Pig for the BJP experiment. Wonder what other experiments Naam Tamizhar is going to subject the cadres to - all to benefit one man - Seeman.

For all those saying an alliance between AAP and Congress would have made no difference to the result, as chemistry is more important than arithmetic etc. Note this. The vote share difference between AAP and BJP was 2% . Congress got 6.35% . Even if half of this 6.35% vote transferred in the right places, the alliance could have been very close to a majority. This was not a massive anti-incumbency vote against AAP. If you get 43% of the vote you aren't being rejected big time. Yes, they lost 10% of their 2020 vote but only 7% of that went to the BJP. Had they lost only that 7% the race would have been very tight. Moral of the story: Alliances matter. If you treat your alliance partners badly it will come back to bite you sometime. #DelhiElectionResults #DelhiElections2025 And please don't talk about the Lok Sabha election results. This was a different election altogether and Modi wasn't on the ticket.

@viviiyer Nope. Vote share difference between AAP and BJP was just 2% . That is not a huge anti- incumbency vote.

AAP has a big majority in Punjab Assembly. It will take a major rebellion to unseat the Government. More than 30 AAP MLA's need to withdraw support. Will the BJP want to do this and topple Bhagwant Mann or win him over to its side? #DelhiElections2025

@sanjayuvacha Agree but in this election there was no wave. All it needed was an incremental 5% to make it neck and neck.

Kejriwal loses. Manish Sisodia loses. In both constiuencies the Congress got more votes than the difference between the winners and the runner up. #DelhiElectionResults

Looking at the trends @AamAadmiParty may end up below 25 seats. Much deserved grounding for @ArvindKejriwal . His ambitions of being a National leader are over. The Indian voter will punish hubris. Sometimes they may take time to do it but they will. #DelhiElections2025

Only point of interest in the #ErodeEastByElection is going to be the vote share. In the absence of most of the Opposition can the DMK alliance increase its vote share over the 64% that EVKS got last time? Will be interesting to see the final vote share and also the number of votes the DMK candidate polls. Not an indication for 2026 but still could be interesting.

Watch the @INCIndia vote share today. The closer it goes to 10% the more sure it becomes that the BJP is winning. #DelhiElectionResults
