Why did

not intervene in the Horizon scandal when he was Director of Public Prosecutions? The CPS has the power to take over or end private prosecutions for example that are vexatious or malicious. The story first broke in 2009, yet prosecutions continued until 2015
I was pleased to pay tribute to the brave sub-postmasters whose fight for justice has captured the nation. Since I was elected in 2010 I have fought their cause in Parliament because for me this is personal. Post Office and Fujitsu must be held to account.

Our water quality is improving under this

The only reason we appreciate the scale of the problem is because this government massively improved reporting.
From 7% in 2010 to 91% of all storm overflows monitored in 2021.
Bathing waters are cleaner now than in 2009 with more monitoring, infrastructure and enforcement being delivered with our Plan for Water. 👇
