I too am trapped in a blue state w/ many liberal and progressive Jewish friends. Post 10/7 too many have remained silent, only a few are even speaking out. None have indicated they will vote Republican. So I’m looking for a new state and new friends.

Correct. It is clear that 10/7 has taught many on the Israeli left that it is not something Israel did (e.g. build settlements), but rather its existence, that causes Hamas to act. Schumer suffers from the delusions that Israel is at fault and must change its behavior.

No, Jordan is Palestine. The Mandate had Arab Palestine (Jordan) and Jewish Palestine (Israel). Then a deal was made to give Jordan to the Hashemite Kingdom. Yea, the Brits (and France) made mistakes in partitioning former Ottoman lands, the Kurds got nothing.

My gut: Putin is “wounded” because Russia lost millions in WWII to help the US / UK defeat Hitler. The Eastern front was the deadliest battlefield in history. Russia arose from ashes in 1991, has never been accepted as an ally. NATO was aligned against it, and NATO expands.

Albums like this are just one long song. It all fits together like a finely crafter quilt. I don’t view the separations between the music as creating a “song” I view them as a transition to a new movement within the song. Not many albums do this. Dark Side of the Moon does.
