Fridays are biliary day! Occluded plastic stents are a challenge. I find the neatest way to remove them is to puncture the duct above them, cannulate the middle of the stent, & use a balloon inflated inside to push them into the duodenum @DrAidanShaw

A £5.5m rebuild of the @nhsuhcw IR Suite is currently underway (completion due in Sept 2020). It will give us 4 IR Rooms (1 hybrid spec), a 7-bed Radiology Ward, an IR Reporting Room (3 PACS stations), 15 desk office space, consultation room & separate male/female changing rooms.

This is a really helpful #paediatricIR procedure: a good, old fashioned #bronchogram. 0.5ml contrast via the ETT or LMA, thru a catheter or a bronchoscope (as shown here). Spontaneous breathing, unsubtracted run. This is a 1 yo with intermittent respiratory distress. Diagnosis?
