I am perfectly fine with testing. The first test any candidate should take is getting the same Security Clearance most troops get. Then there should be a basic Geography, Military, and Constitution Test. If you don't know 5th grade level education you shouldn't be POTUS.

Child Labor laws did not exist before women got the right to vote. There was no Violence Against Women Act and it was generally accepted that men had the right to discipline their wives like children. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 that doesn't allow discrimination wouldn't exist.
