Would love to see this rule changed... As players grow and mature their body and center of gravity can get out of whack. Allowing easier movement of the hips and repeat-ability can lead to more success for a lot of pitchers -- at a lot of different levels.
Can anyone explain why NFHS rules don't allow the "hybrid stance" with no one on, other than to allow opposing coaches to nitpick & attempt to take a pitcher out of his rhythm? The official NFHS reasoning is terrible (basically: "because I said so").
