It is #FungiFriday 🍄 Our team got rather excited this week when they discovered this fantastic specimen on the Commons. Collins Complete Guide to British Mushrooms and Toadstools says the Coral tooth (Hericium coralloides) is: “Arguably our most beautiful fungus"

Yesterday our friends from the @wearelyp and @SurreyHillsSoc joined us on #BansteadHeath to continue with the Birch clearance the team started last year. We can’t thank the young people enough for their effort and great company - we really enjoy their comradery. 💚

It was glorious weather during our Fungi Foray on #BansteadHeath earlier today. We found most of the colours of the rainbow in our grassland species 🌈 mushrooms were quite literally everywhere we walked! 🍄

Congratulations to our winners who correctly guessed the age of our Oak tree at our Nature Detective Days. It was lovely to see our young Nature Detectives again when they collected their prize. Each won their own slice of a tree with certificate of authentication.
