reduce latency with AtlasOS 🎯
AtlasOS is a Windows modification designed with the esports player in mind. minimizing micro stutters, reducing latency and improving framerate.
there are already so many pro players using it to their advantage, so why aren't you? ➡️

@lauriewired
security updates aren't removed, there's just currently no way to "get new ones" as for mitigations, you are prompted to enable or disable them in AME Wizard and you can disable or enable them while in atlas
windows updates are disabled, as it reverts optimizations made by us.
On November 1st, we will be hosting a Discord stage event to preview and dive deep into over 22,000+ lines of changes in the newest Atlas v0.3.0 release.
If you thought that was all, we're also going to be announcing the release. 🚀
See you soon. ❤️
Therefore, for the next release, you should be able to configure Atlas to be as secure as you'd like, potentially even more secure that stock Windows in some areas.
in just under 2 hours we will be taking to the stage in our Discord server to announce Atlas v0.4 🎥
you can watch it on our YouTube, it will also be publicly available after the event in case you can't make it!
guys I just reinstalled Atlas, but I kept all my programs, files, data.
AND… I didn't use a USB stick. I escaped the matrix!! 👀
coming soon to Beta Testers ;)
For this reason, in future versions of Atlas, it is now a priority to give the users warnings about disabling security features and having features like Windows Update and Defender optional.
just installed Atlas on this bad boy. i'm going to try Fortnite, how much FPS are we thinking? 🔥
i'll do Star Stable benchmarks later (for people who want)
When Atlas was more niche and mostly for power users and gamers that know their way around Windows, we previously liked to give users a compromise of security for performance, privacy and ease of use by default, presuming that the users know the risks and how to avoid being
However, due to our recent shift to being a more popular project, the security concerns have been brought up due to the expectation of everyone knowing the risks being unrealistic.
“Let's make a Windows version which is open-source, so it's transparent for our users!”
Some users:
“I don't want to use Atlas because it might steal my Steam passwords”
🤦♂️
We’ve been pretty inactive on Twitter. If you don’t know what AtlasOS is, it’s a transparent, stripped version of Windows allowing gamers to achieve higher frame rates and better latency for competitive play. 🚀

A response from us, to your recent video.
In regards to you seeing an FAQ section, this is on our docs, and also in our footer on the website. This hasn't changed.
The playbook password is shown in the GitHub actions workflow, though we should also probably link it somewhere
@christitustech
feel free to message us on twitter for any questions, we are trying to fix the security situation with Atlas in the next release, which should release sometime soon :)
@christitustech
@boogotti
hey Chris! fully GPLv3 compliant now, and we don't ship an ISO. instead we we've partnered up with
@ameliorated117
who have created a kernel wizard! (replicates NTLite's functionality but on a live install)
@drbidibidi
@Pirat_Nation
Atlas doesn’t remove any Windows components.
If you choose to have Windows Security removed (not recommended) this is the only component level change we do (aside from telemetry blocking).
@christitustech
I would also like to add, no updates are pushed to users unexpectedly. They are shown in the GitHub releases, and announced on our Discord server (in the updates channel).

Although Atlas does include Windows Security Updates and will always do so; we do recommend that people who wish to have feature updates to stay on stock Windows.
Currently there is no way to update to later feature updates, as this will revert tweaks made by Atlas.
