Thank you @lornecoe for having the backs of our Members. From advocating for @AssociationDrp Members physical & mental health to supporting reforms to give officers the tools and support they need to serve the community each and every day.
I am truly honoured to receive the support and endorsement of the Durham Regional Police Association. Together, we will continue to work towards a safer and stronger community for all. Thank you for your trust and partnership. #ProtectOntario @AssociationDrp

Exactly!!!! However, Many find any reason they can to criticize without knowing or understanding how lucky they are that Canadian Police are some of the best trained in the world.
The cops showed unbelievable restraint. Anywhere else, he'd be dead. "Police behind dramatic takedown of hatchet-wielding man in Kitchener acted with 'compassion,' chief says"

Being hired on to be a Police Officer does not come with consenting to be assaulted. Contrary to the beliefs of some simply being an Officer doesn’t mean you should accept or expect to be injured. Officers across this country run into danger each and every day. The risks they face doesn’t always come through a physically injury and can often be longstanding and mental. @AssociationDrp wishes a full recovery to the involved Officers and thank you all for the work you do and the sacrifices you make every single day.
In just 24 hours, three of our members were injured while doing their jobs—one slashed in the neck, one suffering a torn Achilles, and another needing 11 staples after being struck in the head. Our members put themselves in harm’s way every day, yet they continue to face increasing violence. This is unacceptable. We stand with them and will keep fighting for the resources and protections they deserve. #TPAProud #ProtectOurMembers #EnoughIsEnough

Just how many times do law abiding members of our communities need to be victimized by repeat violent offenders? Actions speak louder than words. Communities deserve better. The Members of Police Services across the country need to know that all their hard work means something. #BailReformNow #PublicSafey

146 charges. Out on bail. Dozens of victims How many chances do repeat offenders get? If you’ve been affected, call 416-808-1300. Ask those running for Prime Minister—what’s their plan to stop this? #BailReformNow #PublicSafety #EnoughIsEnough

Great take on Police Association work from @TPAca President @TPACampbell in the @torontolife magazine.
TPA President @TPACampbell sat down with @torontolife to discuss the challenges of leading the Police Association, why fighting for fair compensation is a top priority, and what’s next for policing in Toronto. Read the full article here:

@lornecoe has been a staunch advocate for not only our Members but Officers and Civilian staff across Ontario. From Officer/Member safety to mental health initiatives he has been at the front of the line to show his support. Today @AssociationDrp VP @JShaddy84 took to the trail to let citizens know of the great work and advocacy Lorne provides to their community safety.

A frightening & eye opening example of how quickly a situation can escalate. These Officers face greater & greater dangers across this country daily. With only seconds to react they willingly risk personal safety. They constantly face armchair quarterbacks & critics yet they continue to heroically place themselves between the threat & the general public they are sworn to protect. 💙

Extremely interesting that this has been pointed out to your Government by Police Associations, Chiefs and others numerous times over the past several years and been largely ignored. Now that it’s a convenient talking point you seem interested? What exactly has your Government done to stop the flow of illegal firearms?
