Medical school is no fairytale. Sometimes you pray against meeting a certain lecturer in you clinical exams but unfortunately for you, you get drafted to meet that lecturer. The Lecturer then goes ahead to prove why everybody prays against meeting him.

I strongly, vehemently and aggressively disagree with this opinion. There is no statistical evidence/data that MCQ with negative marking makes one a better Doctor. Lots of programs without it and they are still producing quality Doctors. It’s archaic and it’s obsolete.
MCQs with negative marking to me sort of give a sense of caution during exams, More thinking Less guessing.
For a discipline like ours that deals with lives, the fate of our patients largely depends on the decisions we make - our actions and inactions, as medical personnels…

I don’t always like it but I will defend anyone’s right to ask a question no matter how stupid it may seem. They paid school fees and are entitled to asking their questions answered. Because others are tired is not reason enough for them not to ask.
After long lectures,don’t delay the lecturer by asking questions.

Same thing with requesting an MRI for diagnosis of acute osteomyelitis. It’s the best investigation to do but it’s not feasible in Nigeria most times but my teachers will make sure you know it and at least you will say it. God bless them.

In my opinion. Use your holidays to rest. The allocated time for the posting is enough for you to study, engage the posting well and pass excellently if you focus. Learn to enjoy your holidays. All your life is not about this one thing.
Seeing a lot of people disagree with me. It’s fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.
But one thing I’ll stand by is that the moment you begin classes or labs and you see people already moving one or twos and you can’t relate at all, it has some psychological stress

Anyone who has gone through medical school knows you can not cheat your way through it. How you wan take pass Clinical Exam or Orals or OSCE. You and your Prof. go dey one on one face to face. How or what are you going to cheat. You simply have to know it or you fail.
