@MrsCMFrancis I’m in media and this is 100% accurate. I wrote about where to buy Christmas Pjs in late September so that parents could “get them now before they sell out!” 😩

@queenathenah I work from home during the day and my husband works in the evenings. We worked opposite shifts for years before I worked from home. The idea is to be flexible with the “school” part of things. Do what makes sense for your schedule.

@aspiringpeasant My dad bought a go-kart and took me to spend every Saturday racing at a dirt track. He let me bring my friends and always made sure we had my favorite color Gatorade and let us pick the music on the car rides there. It was the perfect was to spend my early teen years.

@yoalexrapz My father-in-law and grandmother have both been gone for about five years (within a month of one another) and they’re still both on my favorites

@Sissa2308 Oh! And sometimes I make peanut butter protein balls with oatmeal, chia seeds, and protein powder which are great for a quick-grab breakfast with a banana or some berries

If this isn’t the premise for the reboot of The Office, it should be
A few weeks ago I was grabbing lunch in Austin and overheard a conversation with some young gals the next table over. They were discussing how a friend of theirs got called back to the office by her employer. Things discussed: 1) what is business casual? What does that even mean? 2) does she eat there too? This made me realize that this group of friends (probably 25ish) had never worked in an office since graduating. They graduated in the midst of COVID and went straight remote. This isn’t to make fun of them, it’s to highlight there is a group of the population with 5 years work experience but zero experience working in an office. They are about to have to learn all the cultural aspects of working in an office as if it’s their first day. It’s going to be very interesting.
