Among the Balochs of Koh-E-Suleman, especially the people of Marri tribe of Kohlu , a custom of shortening the long beard by curling/wrapping it is still prevalent, this is called Chhalla Resh (چھلا ریش) in the local Balochi language. Chhalla means Curls and Resh means Beard

Mamasani is a Baloch tribe which inhabits Awaran, Sistan, Luristan and Fars. It is said by the British as one of the most bravest and savage of the tribes. British writers have regarded them to be the same as the "Memaceni" tribe encountered by Alexander in Upper Bactriana.
