Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun. We prayed salatul janazah after eid salah at An-Nur mosque today. The deceased came to the masjid to pray eid but died instead. He came to pray but ended up being prayed for. Death comes without notice. May Allah have mercy on his soul.

I always do a mental calculation of the amount of money spent in just a few hours at all these modern-day Arewa weddings. From the bride’s outfit, venue rental, decor, Artiste/DJ, food & drink, invitation cards, souvenirs etc. Such a waste of money (in my opinion) 😐

SubhanAllah. It has been 31 yrs since we lost our mother. I was young. Funny how I hold on to the little odd things I remember about her. Her smile, her facial routine, her generosity. People still talk about how kind & generous she was.

The masjid has been in existence for over 50 years, the stairway to the classes is falling apart & the ablution area & masjid need fixing (nothing fancy). We have raised about N700,000 so far but our target is N3.5m.
