It is an honor to join Mr. President’s @officialABAT delegation on a state visit to Paris over the next few days, where I will support his efforts to forge solid partnerships aligned with his vision for our nation. During this visit, I will also engage with key stakeholders in Tourism and the creative sector, particularly in museology, to further strengthen collaborations and ties between France and Nigeria. #creativeeconomy

On the sidelines of the G20 Leaders Meeting at Rio de Janeiro, I had a bilateral meeting with the Brazilian Minister of Culture, Mrs. Margaret Menezes, as follow up engagement after the Ministers of Culture Working Group Meeting in Salvador, Brazil. Our engagement focused on reviewing and finalizing the audiovisual co-production agreement between Nigeria and Brazil. This initiative aims to broaden more opportunities for collaboration and to open new markets for, investment and funding opportunities within the creative industries of both nations. We also explored broader discussions on other areas of cultural collaboration, particularly those of mutual interest to our countries. Together, we aim to strengthen the ties that unite us through our rich cultural heritage while creating an environment of shared learning and growth for creatives.

Celebrating 20 years of African cinema! The Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) in Lagos showcased the power of African storytelling to inspire and unite us all. At this special anniversary, I had the privilege of presenting the award for Best Film a category by (NFVCB) alongside Dr. Shaibu Husseini, Director-General of the National Film and Video Censors Board. Congratulations to all the winners and actors whose contributions continue to elevate our industry and bring African stories to the world. Here’s to many more years of unforgettable stories! #AMAA2024 #creativeeconomy

Today marked a significant step forward in shaping the future of Nigeria’s tourism sector as we held a validation session for the draft of the National Tourism Policy. Developed by the Ministry in collaboration with the NESG, key stakeholders, and the private sector, this policy has been a collective effort to ensure our tourism framework meets the demands of the dynamic sector. A special acknowledgment to my sister Lola Ade-John who initiated the process from inception and has now trusted me to see it to fruition for the good of the Tourism industry. This milestone reflects @FMACCE_Nigeria commitment to fast track the creation of policy frameworks that align with our 8-point plan. We look forward to integrating feedback from our very critical stakeholders and presenting this blueprint to the Federal Executive Council in the near future. #tourism #creativeeconomy

I was honoured to deliver a keynote address at Design Week Lagos 2024, where we took a deeper dive into the transformative power of design. Opportunities like this allow me to engage directly with key stakeholders in the creative sector, gaining valuable insights into the challenges they face. This is essential for shaping the ministry’s strategic direction and reinforcing design as a platform for innovation, job creation, and economic diversification. In my keynote address, I examined the potential of design and industrialization in creating jobs and expanding the economy, while addressing some of Nigeria’s most pressing challenges. From urbanization and housing shortages to environmental sustainability and healthcare, design offers practical, people-centered solutions. Engagements like this align with @FMACCE_Nigeria 8-point plan, especially in strategic partnerships, skill acquisition, GDP contribution, and skill development. Special appreciation to @titiogufere , the founder of Design Week, my co-panelists for their valuable insights, the exhibitors, and the entire team for putting together such an impactful event. I look forward to future collaborations that will spring from Design Week Lagos 2024.
