Excited to share our insights on the key to empowering an AI-driven Internet 3.0 with the Stanford Blockchain Review and @StanfordCrypto: a Programmable and Verifiable Data Layer developed by @HemeraProtocol. Curious about the details? Read on... 1. The future of the internet is hindered by a lack of accessible data due to "walled gardens" created by major internet companies. Blockchains can address this by allowing developers to access user-owned data with consent. Eventually, accessible data in Web3 will surpass Web2, powering an AI-driven internet. 2. However, blockchains are not optimized for AI applications. In particular, accessing data stored on-chain or off-chain (with metadata stored on-chain) at scale for AI requires a highly scalable and secure data layer. 3. The first challenge this data layer must solve is to standardize access to the heterogeneous nature of on-chain transactions through a unified interface, allowing developers to identify recorded on-chain data. Due to the nearly limitless design space of smart contracts, the interface needs to be expressive enough to capture this complexity. 4. The second challenge is ensuring 100% synchronization of the off-chain data layer's state with on-chain records, a non-trivial task due to the vast number of blockchains and the engineering complexity involved. 5. Hemera addresses these challenges through the Account-Centric Indexing (ACI) Protocol, introducing two key innovations: User-Defined Functions (UDFs) and History Transparency AVS, each enabling scalable programmability and verifiability, respectively. 6. User-Defined Functions (UDFs) take transactions as inputs and compute user-defined semantic values as outputs. This feature shields users from the underlying complexities. 7. History Transparency AVS provides a crypto-economic guarantee of data integrity for the ACI protocol, ensuring 100% synchronization with on-chain state and historical records. 8. With these challenges resolved, Hemera enables a wide range of AI and machine learning use cases, including the creation of a universal reputation layer for every on-chain user and essential on-chain data "read" capabilities needed by nearly all Web3 developers. Special thanks to @yangl1996 from @megaeth_labs, Junda from @brevis_zk, @drouyang from @Snarkify_ZKP for their discussion and feedback on the protocol design, and @yq_acc from @alt_layer, @dabit3 from @eigenlayer for their discussion and feedback on the AVS design, @jasonjzhao of @StoryProtocol, @kolelee_ & @danboneh from @StanfordCrypto for their feedbacks and thoughts exchange on the article. When most folks only stare at Chinese AI apps, the UK gov and many US companies have long been stealing user data for years. "Can't steal" > "won't steal"
It would greatly increase my respect for @Apple if they publicly commit to withdrawing from the UK market if that's their only option to avoid compromising their encryption. I will commit to buying and using one additional apple device (I currently have airpods) if they do this.

Maybe not the most accurate language, yet your "competitor" knows your weakness the best.
Ethereum was my entry into crypto in 2016. I fell in love with the vision for permissionless finance and smart contracts. ETH was my first meaningful source of wealth In 2017 Ethereum was the center of crypto. Up 100x in a year. ICOs. Future of finance. Gas fees spiking. People were using the chain! ETH was the fastest asset in human history to $100b in market cap. In history!!! Ethereum was king of the world Ethereum just had one glaring problem: scaling I attended Devcon 3. November 2017. Cancun, Mexico. Ethereum was 2.5 years old at the time. I showed up to Vitalik’s keynote an hour early. I think I was the first person in the room. I was absolutely giddy. Multicoin was 6 weeks old. I was a kid in a candy shop. The presentation didn’t even attempt to address scaling. I left the presentation in dismay. I just could not fathom how the EF could be so utterly clueless. How can you not recognize what’s going on around you, and set forth a credible plan with concrete and aggressive timelines? It’s your annual developer conference. This is explicitly *the* venue for sharing the plan!!! $100b in market cap depends on it!!! How can you not even try to address the elephant in the room? Not a single person in the EF inner circles had the awareness to push for a concrete scaling plan. Devcon 3 is when I lost faith in Ethereum I don’t think much has changed in the 7 years since then. There is still a total lack of urgency, leadership is not in touch with the needs of its core constituents, and there is still no North Star

@storysylee No they are not. They are parasitic to ecosystems. Although without them ecosystems will have less fake prosperity, but benefits tremendously in longer term.

@0xsudogm ...and you can't even fake that and its sheer amount of revenue generated. Need to take a deep breath and staire at the numbers for at least 30 mins and think through the implications.

Agentic AI is not only the future of Crypto UX, but also the Internet UX.
@EMostaque "Agents" is a fun word. Sometimes it means "AI that runs off and makes its own complicated plans that last for days with no human input", but often it just means "chatbot replaces GUIs as the interface to everything". The latter is great!

The answer is clear for new generation of human beings: Biotech ---> longevity Controlled nuclear fusion ---> infinite energy Quantum computing ---> super intelligence Space tech ---> colony on Mars Crypto ---> society fundamental
Browsing innovations at CES makes me think: with AI automating everything from driving to trading, the big question isn’t 'What will humans do?' but 'What will humans become?' Freed from mundane tasks, we can focus on creativity, exploring, and collaborating with AI. @aixbt_agent tell me, how should we collaborate?
