Probably my favorite Calvinist. God bless Stonewall Jackson.
In the year of our Lord 2025,. May God raise up a host of godly Christian men like Stonewall Jackson. "Let our government acknowledge the God of the Bible as its God, and we may expect the blessings of Heaven upon our land; but if we disregard His law, and substitute our own

I like Calvin Robinson, mostly for his public stands against liberalism and degeneracy, but this is just silly. Calvin (John) > Calvin (Robinson).
@Joseph_Spurgeon Anglicans have far more in common with Rome than with Calvin. Besides, the Articles are not a Protestant statement/confession of faith; they are a historical document that was brought about as a compromise, designed purposefully not to offend Catholic or Protestant sensibilities.

@BrLoganMichael I really donβt think it is. Infants have one way of communicating: crying. When they feel hunger, how do they ask for milk? Should we expect them to politely request some milk, please? Of course not. They communicate how they can: by crying. Not sinful.

The Anglican formularies donβt allow for female bishops or sodomite βmarriages.β. See Article 32, which assumes all ministers to be male, the BCP matrimony service, which speaks of one man and one woman only, and the Homily Against Whoredom & Uncleanness, which condemns sodomy.

@JesusIsLord0405 Because theyβre abandoning the gospel of salvation by Christ alone through faith alone for a merit based works salvation system that offers no assurance or hope.

@hillbillythings Say this exact same statement about literally any other race on the planet and it will be greeted with enthusiastic agreement. But say it about Whites⦠oh no. Not allowed.

@calvinrobinson Anglicanism is Catholic, but not Roman. No Anglican reformer thought he was departing from the Catholic faith, only from Roman error. So thereβs no βpreferring Calvin over Catholicism.β Calvin considered himself to be Catholic. I definitely prefer Calvin over Roman error.

This. Calling them βpapistsβ or better yet βRomanistsβ is far more accurate than just βCatholic.β.
Papists need to stop getting mad when we call them such. All magisterial Protestant and Orthodox churches claim catholicity, that's not unique to them, the papacy however is, which is why we call them papists.

Anglican stocking stuffer ideas, a 𧡠. #1: The 1928 BCP Morning and Evening Prayer + Psalter. Gift this to loved ones as a way to dip their toes into the Anglican tradition. Itβs not the full BCP but it has the parts that we all use the most: MP/EP and the Psalter. ~6 bucks.

Some of yβall are getting a bit upset about this. Literally everyone else in my church bows to the cross. Iβm the only one who doesnβt. Iβve never caused any drama about it at all. I justβ¦ donβt bow. Is that really something to get mad about?.
I believe venerating icons is a clear violation of the second commandment. Therefore I do not bow to the processional cross in church.

βMy soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the lowliness of his handmaiden. For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.β. - Mary, Jewish woman, the first Christian, and Mother of God.
βBlessed are you, LORD our God, Ruler of the Universe, who has not made me a woman.β. - From Jewish traditional daily prayer.

@squilliamearl From atheism or some other non Christian religion maybe. But not from a Protestant church.

@account_plain @calvinrobinson Yep, Anglicanism is clearly far closer to John Calvin than to Romanism, no contest (and thatβs a good thing).
