My number one Bond movie. Itโs often underrated and misunderstood. Brosnan is on top form, M is given an arc for the first time ever and it plays well into the villainessโs plot, Renard is a fascinating henchman/ simp, itโs great.

Sorry guys. This is for me the worst car chase in Bond.
Itโs like a highly choreographed car showcase with bad gags than an actual chase, Iโm half expecting Craig to turn into Richard Hammond at points and tell us, the audience, how much brake horsepower the car has.
Bondโs high-speed chase with Hinx outside St. Peterโs Basilica in the Vatican features a striking choral section from Thomas Newmanโs score.

This scene from Spectre is the only time in the film, sans the excellent long take in the pre-titles, that I get any sense of Sam Mendes being present in the filmmaking process. For such a lazily crafted and poorly written film this scene is exquisite.

His performance across from Sophie Marceau in The World Is Not Enough needs more mainstream love and attention as I think that film as a whole gets forgotten about or misremembered as โThe Denise Richards oneโ. Brosnan is absolutely phenomenal in that film.
