Shout out to our Forestry team who navigated this issue with great professionalism and empathy despite the challenges— and to the residents of Saint Paul for your patience and understanding as we worked to complete this important step to improve the health of our urban canopy. 🌳
We are happy to share that a 15-year endeavor came to a close this week as our Forestry team completed structured removal of ash trees on boulevards across Saint Paul. The emerald ash borer (EAB) has plagued ash trees across the city—straining resources and limiting capacity.

Construction of a new $7 million park in downtown St. Paul is underway, and it's only taken about 30 years of planning and fighting, a lawsuit, a pandemic and the demolition of a couple buildings... Pedro Park opens next July!
