If your planning code doesn't allow you to build your town's most beloved stuff, throw it in the trash. It should have never been passed in the first place.

It's hard to imagine these people are real. "I bought a house a long time ago when it was cheap. Now instead of happily living life, I'm going out of my way to prevent anybody else from affording a home."
Susan, a Montlake resident speaking against new housing: “Yes, I have a house. I’m sorry. I worked for it.”

@Eli_Albrecht That comes out to be $90 short: $1000 - 30% = $700 $700 + 30% = $910 Tip 42.86% to recover the 30% discount: $700+(1÷(1−30%)) = $1000 $700+42.86% = $1000 But, if the tip is not taxed, then the bad math probably doesn't matter.

@travelingenes Idea: SNAP dollars worth double if spent on "whole foods"? (Raw fruits, vegetables, beans, rice, meat, etc.) Give people more choices rather than take things away.

Picked up a Yellow Pages. "The original search engine." "November 2024" edition. Half the businesses are long gone. I remember Hoboken's Five Guys closing 9 years ago. @realyellowpages
