Saying it again.. it is 2023
Calls for scores should not have an entry fee(?!) and commissions should be paid fairly. Otherwise these are not ‘opportunities’. Ensembles should budget for assessor time and not be pulling the ‘commission fee’ from entry fees of the unsuccessful

This idea that art comes before people is overwhelmingly present throughout music, ballet etc etc, specifically in cases of sexual abuse
I will never understand this mentality that anyone is irreplaceable/untouchable. Is it perHAPS that mentality which breeds this harm???
