Self-published/ indie books aren't less than trad books, and authors who choose to self-pub aren't doing so because they couldn't hack the trad process. I hope that in 2023, these books are given the same chances and love as trad titles.

Truly. Not only is the acting on IWTV better, so is the writing, the score, set design, and from all accounts the treatment of the Black and brown actors bts. TVD is also insanely heteronormative while IWTV fully leans into the queerness of vampires.

This book is BI AS HELL. The MC is bi. The vampire is bi. The werewolf is bi. The demon princess is bi. Hell, even her parents who are literal gods are bi. And the relationship my mc ends up in is bi4bi.
If I had only thing I could tell bi creators then it'd be: make your main characters bisexual. Make them ALL bi. How is it that we bisexuals are the majority and yet we have so little rep? Make all your romances bi4bi too. We have to create bi characters because no one else will

This. I dealt with a lot of gaslighting, manipulation, and straight-up exhausting behavior from my ex. One of the last straws was him cussing me out bc I wouldn’t tell him my pin to my personal bank account, even though I didn’t know his.
