@KudzuCanopy @WallStreetApes Because they’re legal you dunce. those are the children of immigrants being the voice of their parents. Should they violent and destructive? Absolutely not. But they’re angry, and for good reason. You really think all those people are illegal immigrants? You’re truly slow.

Well, I like using Costco as an example, this year they will be starting their entry level employees at 20 dollars an hour in most warehouses. These are the stockers, cashier etc.. what you guys see as “low skilled” labor. Now, 20 dollars an hour is gonna leave you a more comfortable amount of money left over every month after paying your bills, groceries, rent, etc. this leads to an increase in quality of life. And not only do they pay a high minimum wage, they also have outstanding health benefits for their employees AND their families. As long as you put in the time and effort to the company you can be making roughly 30+ an hour without even being a manager or supervisor in just about 5 years. So those loyal employees can live comfortably throughout their careers in the company. Other businesses should see this and learn from it.

Costco has a high minimum wage for entry level employees, they are one of the fastest growing businesses out there in part because of this. People start their careers there, and retire there without ever being a manager. Just simply stocking the shelves for 5+ years and you’ll be making 28+ an hour. And not to mention they have outstanding benefits. And because of this they have one of the largest employee retention percentages in the country. Why? Because they value their “low skill” employees.

@play4dub @EarlsWorldGA @wrobbee You keep circling back to the amount of skill these jobs require, that does not matter. High skill jobs will always pay more. I’m not saying they should be getting paid as much as someone with a diploma, I’m simply saying that the wage should be based on price of living.

@play4dub @EarlsWorldGA @wrobbee Yes. But unlike you, I see it as compassion, not pity. I care about my fellow Americans. If they’re putting the time and effort into their jobs, whatever it may be, they should be able to live off of that.

@play4dub @EarlsWorldGA @wrobbee Because the cost of living does not equate to the money these employees are making. Simple.
