I think we can all agree that the government is bloated and some of these programs have lost their way but you can't just unilaterally act.

@DomClare There are 115k schools in this country. Several million members of the military / national guard. Rough math, if you paid one or two security personnel at every one of those schools, that would be about $2 billion a year. That's less than 1% of our defense budget.
