Proud of our @MCpublicsafety public safety telecommunicators who are specifically trained to recognize the sound of agonal breathing via phone and will even ask the caller to put the handset near the patient’s mouth to rapidly identify cardiac arrest and provide CPR instructions
THIS. I had never heard of agonal breathing before I heard @DGlaucomflecken doing it. I thought he was snoring, then I thought he was having a respiratory issue. I would never have known to do chest compressions without the 911 dispatcher telling me to. We need more awareness!
