True 250 years ago, 150 years ago, 50 years ago, and today. It will still be true 50 years from now, and as long as humans behave like humans and governments behave like governments.

Elon says things in a very straightforward and factual manner, essentially disregarding emotional nuance - as is typical of those with a spectrum disorder. He is also NOT a politician that is used to smooth talking to the point of making lies sound like truths.

Actually, they did. They died for the right to express oneself no matter how offensive. It's frustratingly ironic, but so important that it's the 1st amendment. The only thing that dishonors their sacrifice more than burning the flag is denying the freedom they died defending.

Maybe go with her to the range next time and try it. That way you can come closer to understanding her, even if you don't agree. Who knows, you might even find it enjoyable. If not, you will at least have gained experience and knowledge.

It's not "MAGA culture." It's you. 100% you. Your decisions, your emotions, your reactions - all on you. Blaming "MAGA culture" to ease your conscience doesn't change the fact that the vitriol is from you. And it's over t-shirts and Facebook likes.

Summary:
A woman had a fear of guns but wants to "understand" gun culture because she lives in rural Texas. After enjoying shooting handguns, her irrational fear still overrides her willingness to try shooting an AR-15. After Uvalde, she's irrationally afraid to shoot any gun.

Around 75% of current active duty and reserve service members vote red. That number is even higher for veterans. The armament, skill level, and preparation already attained by millions of red civilians is more than most armies. It'd be ugly, but it'd be decisive.

Why do you only show at "gun deaths?" Just show murders and suicides. That's what matters most. Swapping a gun for a knife is irrelevant - dead is dead.
By the way, there are multiple studies on the defensive use of firearms. Your logic falls to the data.

Being minimally knowledgeable is typically a prerequisite to having a valid opinion. You have zero knowledge, or you wouldn't be repeating these ridiculous talking points. The 5.56/.223 is among the LEAST powerful rifle cartridges ever. EVER. It doesn't do what you claim.

I personally don't recommend a 12 gauge due to recoil. I typically recommend first a .22, then a low power center fire such as an AR or other .223 rifle, maybe .410 shotgun. I've seen too many first-time shooters injured because they didn't know what to expect.

We're not coming for your guns. We just need to know the names, addresses, and any other pertinent information about anyone who owns a gun. Nothing to see here.

These people also still think it's lines on a map. It would be more like the civil wars in China, Congo, Nigeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, etc. The closest thing to a map representing sides would be a red/blue voting map. Even that is inaccurate as it shows majority, not dispersion.

Beacuse these laws are written by people who don't own guns and have no intention of ever defending themselves with a gun. That means that they encumber actual self-defense.

Actually, the NRA has a track record of supporting and defending the rights of "people of color" (a racist term for any who isn't white) to protect themselves. The racist, unconstitutional gun laws of NY disproportionately negatively impact minorities and women.

The more I think about this, the more frustrated I get at the young men and their parents. When I was in college, every guy KNEW it was his job to protect women from scum. You walked her to her car, made sure she had her pepper spray, whatever needed. ANY girl, not just "yours."

My son at 10 knew this. He would watch me rack and check clear. When I handed him the gun, he would do the same himself. He never took it for granted - still doesn't as an adult. The 4 rules always apply.
