I wholeheartedly agree, I’m not sure why each new arc is pushed to be an “attack” on the one prior. I know it’s scary to move forward but it’s definitely not because the creator ever hated the prior arc.

They did Jill so dirty. 100+ side quests of rather mundane stuff to blandly showcase “dark fantasy” by forcing random characters to die for side characters that meant nothing by the end and next to none were actually dedicated to Jill and her abusers.
Yoshi-P: Since the scenario writer of FF14 Heavensward and FF16 is the same person, Maehiro-san, there are indeed several story elements that are similar in both stories. For example, when looking at Ysayle [and Jill], I think, ah…yeah that’s definitely Maehiro-san’s writing.

Not only is Prince of Persia goddamn great, but also being able to customize the difficulty off the bat has made for increasingly tense moments on top of the fact the actual game contrasts from the demo instead just being 1:1 is so amazing. Also the Persian dub is kind of neat.

It’s even funnier if you factor in P3 Vanilla Shinji who shows up a few times, only to have no summer content and then dies in the fall. I dunno how they didn’t do anything with him originally. Couple in Ikutski and Mitsuru’s dad and you have 2 more underutilized characters
ryoji mochizuki is the funniest character ever conceived. he shows up in the story for 15 minutes, does nothing of significance, leaves it having irreparably altered everyone's lives. he is almost completely irrelevant, he is the most important character in the game

People really exposed themselves, not in like an explosive way, when they were playing TOTK. Some people are just on the treadmill. Intrinsic value is a bit harder to get clicks on sometimes.
