Have to say it's been the most work I've done since Edinburgh but Access Festival has been such a treat to do and it's so good to be able to do this for the fans night after night. I'm going to feel a bit empty after all of this is over.
I’m on a major Imposter kick at the moment, had a bad week and it’s all turning inward so I’m going to write out everything I’ve achieved in the last year
A 🧵, thankfully.
A millennial has forced me to go on TikTok. Hard to imagine anyone less suited to this voguish and super-brief format than me, a rambling comic last interesting to the public in 2017. But it might be funny for that very reason. And I look so pretty. I’m markwatsonthecomedian.
Idea, Edinburgh Pitch It Pod - set up a table in random Edi locations and people can come, tell us something about themselves and we pitch one of our shows to them.
In the end, we got all these people on tour screens (graphic by

). Huge thanks once more to
@nextupcomedy
and the unstoppable, chaotic
@AlexJPreston
. And to everyone who watched. It was an experiment, we’ll do it better. But WHAT an experiment. X

Irregardless of all the social distancing etc, imagine having to mentally wrap your head around seeing people die every day and there being very little do. It’s completely incomparable to commercial employment
Absolutely blessed to be this exposed to comedy and to work with such fantastic artists considering my background is film at uni and fuckin wagas.
Love em all.
Even Ted Hill.
Alright here’s a thing - how do you define friends vs work friends?
For me if I’ve never hung out with someone outside of a work context we’ve not graduated to friend-level.
We're ending Access Festival in STYLE at
@BarrelComedy
tomorrow, with seats available in-person AND online through

For the spreadsheets, this was his final form post-flight and post-stalking. Do as you wish with it.
@MartMcDonald
cut him out in actual record time, fantastic stuff.
I do pods as a job but I’ve never been on one myself, so this was a bloody delight. Well done
@ChrisJackComedy
.
Also it’s been 4 months, no whistle progress but the hatred for wikiHow has really set in.
Last episode of this series of the
#WatsonDecade
podcast out now... Your magnificent host,
@ChrisJackComedy
, has been hyping this one up and rightly so tbf. This week we are hearing from the fantastic person that is:
@AlexJPreston

Gonna go through and respond to this individually but the replies to this are so sweet, you lot are the best. Such a nice thing to wake up to.
There’s a strong urge to delete it bc it’s a vain but I won’t

Exactly two years ago, we were 14 hours into my first (and only) 24 hour show at the end of lockdown 3. One of the greatest experiences of my professional life. Also the first time I met Impatient (bar Siren and the Chief) in person. How far we’ve come.
