Today, the House approved this year’s budget. I’m proud to share that 5 of my budget amendments were accepted, totaling over $20 million! The funds will support our HBCUs, tackle teacher shortages, and uplift the Virginia African American Cultural Center.

We must protect our first responders, and it starts with supporting their health. HB 2494 is a vital step in supporting the well-being of our heroic emergency responders who work tirelessly to keep us safe.
Thank you to @AaronRouseVA and @AlexAskew757 for carrying this legislation. Due to the nature of the job, firefighters must mitigate emergencies first and find out about exposures after the fact. @VirginiaBeachFD @TheVaPFF
