I can't take FromSoftware fans who make game difficulty their whole identity.
Like bro, Lion King on Sega Genesis was dumb hard, but I didn't make it my whole personality.
Now that Ziff Davis has laid me off, I'll be looking for work opportunities elsewhere. Any help that y'all can offer, it would mean the world to me.
I'm a very humble person, but I know that I kick ass at what I do. I won't let you down.
Cyberpunk 2077: So detailed, even the litter is hand placed.
Also Cyberpunk 2077: "Ay what's up pendejo! Did you know I'm mexican, vato? Cool, get some pantalones on your culo so we can go quest and shit."
Fromsoftware games ARE NOT MEANT TO HAVE PHOTO MODE. These INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT games are meant to be lived, felt, not filed away with the rest of your screenshots. You want a lasting image of Elden Ring? Get gud, and develop photographic memory like the rest of us REAL FANS.
In need of a photo mode for Elden Ring? PC players rejoice!
Modder
@FransBouma
has released a feature-rich modification for FromSoftware's latest, allowing you complete camera movement, pause function, FOV control, and a lot more.
I've been a contractor, editing video over at IGN for almost a year now, however that has come to an end. Starting tomorrow, I'll be a full-time producer at IGN. I'm still in shock that I can work alongside folks I've looked up to for so long and respect so deeply. It's wild.
In a few weeks time, I'm going to RT this with some good news...
Delivering meds on foot, holding my deliveries in one hand, and having google docs open on my phone in the other while writing Kotaku video scripts and Digital Trends articles was worth it.
Starting in November, let's just say I won't be looking for any more freelance work ☺️
Everyone on the team has been lovely so far, and I'm so excited to be editing for IGN full time!
@adnlewis
@CasanovaCed
Mute tags, skim the tl, have the sense to not be on social. Done all those for years and haven't had a single show or movie spoiled.
I guess my desk is going to look a little different from now on...
Because I'll be a full-time contractor for Owlchemy Labs! I can't wait to work with the awesome folks here and help produce video content that gets you all excited for their upcoming games! 😄
I feel especially stupid because I was working on Next Gen Console Watch until 2 am yesterday, working to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks like art reqs or anything.
Whoa! I get to make one of these!
I am so incredibly excited to announce that I will be joining
@OwlchemyLabs
as a Senior Content Strategist! Ever since I started there as a contractor, everyone has been lovely. I look forward to being part of this extremely talented team!!! 🦉
I had to end my lease as I was supposed to relocate to LA for IGN. This was the first time I had my own bed since I ran away from home as a teenager. This place was lovely in every way, but the next space is set to be even better. 😈
I have been playing tons of Pacific Drive this week. And while I'm not done with my full review just yet, I am absolutely enthralled by it. Bravo to the folks at
@ironwoodtweets
!
It's my new favorite cozy game that occasionally sets me on edge in the best way. Highly recommend!
With rumors of a deathmatch mode coming to Apex Legends, I hope it's followed by a Titan mode. I just want Respawn to trojan horse Titanfall 2 into everyone homes, because it was an under-appreciated masterpiece.
This week, I started editing IGN's Daily Fix. I know that if working for IGN is "sitting at the cool kids table", I'm on that seat all the way at the end of the table with my butt half off the seat, but I'm still pretty damn stoked about it.
Stop buying 5k computers, making your bedroom look like a nightclub with RGBs + quitting your jobs to "chase the dream". You're putting the cart before the horse. Build something on the side until you can safely leave your day job.
There's a difference between drive and delusion
I once sold my Xbox 360 because an ex girlfriend said I played too many games, because that's all I did in my spare time.. when I got home.. from a full time job and school full time...
Don't date people who belittle your interests.
I FINALLY left my day job to pursue games coverage full time! I'm available for freelance or remote work, I can even relocate! RT's appreciated😊
-Film degree
-6 yrs freelance exp
-Published on Digital Trends, Kotaku, and Variety

I came into this space on my own. I had no prior connections or anything. To see the way you have all been so supportive and helpful has made cry a few times over today. You are beautiful human beings. I appreciate all of you, like I'm just floored by the support.
Does anyone else REALLY miss the little booklets that used to come in games? I remember just reading over them, even if it was really basic info like the controls. I’d notice little things like art in the margins or cool tidbits of info you might not have known.
Fans will see this and not realize that this is exactly what all developers would like to deliver to fans.
It's the suits upstairs who get in the way of that.
Baldur's Gate 3 is one of the biggest success stories in a long time.
• No in-game purchases
• No Denuvo
• Three years of polish and tweaking in Early Access
• Insane amount of value and content for the price
• 700K+ CCU on Steam
• Over 2.5M units sold before launch
Oh hey, I edited this ☺️ also the first IGN video I'm actually in!
But seriously, I owe a lot to the Latinx in Gaming community, I've met such beautiful people who have helped me every step of the way.
I love you, mi gente!
I did the work of an entire team in the same time I would take to complete my daily work for my former employers. I scripted/voiced/edited, and published a full news vid. I also figured out a workflow that would allow me to create bite-sized social versions of each story.
I'm going to make a video about this because it's something I'd like to explore in longer form (and Twitter compression sucks), but Cyberpunk should've been the next Half Life: Alyx.
I'm sorry but that Gillette commercial wasn't controversial in the slightest. If you're disturbed by the idea of raising the next generation as compassionate men of action, then you probably shouldn't have kids, for their sake and ours.
@drowningburning
Guys stop making fun of Ronnie, he has to live with the fact that he will never make anything as good as Dying is Your Latest Fashion, it must be so hard
Stop normalizing the grind and normalize sleeping in on Saturday, brewing some tasty coffee, and watering your plants while listening to PS2 loading screen music.
When I lived in Cali I experienced like 2 small quakes and idk how you all get used to that. I've heard things like "Well, on the east coast you have tons of hurricanes"... Yeah we just go inside. In an earthquake, the inside is shakingggggg.
G4TV is remembered as Ninja Warrior and Cops reruns. I miss the earlier days, watching ppl discussing games gave me the vocabulary to enjoy games on a deeper level. It's as if I had been looking at the pictures in a book my whole life, and someone taught me to read the words too.
To the parents who game with their kids, they're going to remember that forever. Some of my best memories of my father are nights staying up playing through Halo 1 on legendary well into the night, even though we both knew I had school the next day.
I finally got to talk to one of the most mysterious figures in the gaming community, DJ PROFESSOR K himself! Check out my latest video to learn a bit about the DJ behind the real-life JET SET RADIO! RT's appreciated, yo!
I cannot create content that hypes up products that use some of those very same people as props, their homes staging grounds for war games, and then shut my mouth when those very real people are in danger.
Free Palestine.
@BFoltyn7
Yes, REAL FANS. It's not a game, its a lifestyle. I eat captain crunch in the morning WITHOUT MILK. Not because it taste better, but because it's more difficult. My mouth is shredded to ribbons, but I can't betray the lifestyle of a HARDCORE fromsoftware fan.
@YongYea
Single player games should not have microtransactions. Full stop. End of story.
When I'm playing through a single player story, I don't want to be sold leveling boosts, just like when I read an article I don't want it to be a trojan horse for you to plug your book.*cough cough*
I am enjoying Breath of the Wild so damn much, it's so refreshing to play what feels like a complete game that doesn't have loot boxes or in game stores or bullshit. It feels like a fun adventure. Can we make all games feel this way again?
Shoutout to the people wasting hours of their day at some job they can't stand because it facilitates their actual passions, hopefully one day you can quit and do what you love full time.
In the first 5 min:

BREAKING: The House of Representatives just voted to give Israel $14.3 billion in more weapons to deepen US complicity in Israel's genocidal attacks against Palestinians in Gaza. A shameful day in Congress.
I've been feeling pressured to 📣ANNOUNCE📣 something ever since I had to leave IGN.
And there are a few announcements on the way (thanks to how lovely you have all been)...
But I wanted to announce that I relaxed today for the first time in a while. It was nice.
In light of recent reports regarding allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination at Activision, Blizzard, and Ubisoft, Prima Games is putting a hard pause on coverage of all Activision, Blizzard, and Ubisoft content until further notice.
