Recently been informed by a very clever friend that this is in fact a SAR arc and not technically aurora. I thought the position of the stars was odd! Apparently quite rare to see/capture so I'm taking that as a win 😂

December 2017 on Yr Wyddfa with friends. I had forgotten just how quiet it was. We stood at the summit for around 30 mins without a single person approaching. Wintery but still v. accessible, yet very few people about. Only 7 yrs ago - does it ever get this quiet nowadays?!

I'm now posting on the other place as "amountainamonth" but feel I need to see this out on here to the end of 2024. November's mountain was Cader/Cadair Idris. A bit windy but only a small amount of sideways rain. We got a show from a red Kite on the way down #amountainamonth2024

I recently (begrudgingly) switched to morning gym sessions before work because I was struggling to fit them in. Annoyingly, it's been an absolute game-changer. I apologise to morning exercise people - your smugness is warranted. Husband thinks I've had a personality transplant 😅

@drrachelhewitt Since reaching mid-30s I back down less, make myself small less, placate less, apologise less - resisting the conditioned urge to do so until I've checked whether it's warranted. Feels hugely uncomfortable short term, but much less damaging to sense of self in the long term.

1.9.24 - Cock of Arran walk. Originally just aimed for the remote Laggan cottage & 300 million yr old Arthropleura tracks. Ended up walking all the way around to Lochranza to catch the last bus back to the start. I'd been reading about Hutton's Uncomformity & wanted to see it 😂
