@alessabocchi True art transcends politics to tackle perennial issues. True artists show truths incompatible with ideology. Dissident artists need not do anything other than make art that is true in order to be expelled from the establishment before having their art later co-opted by it.

In the latest part of my series for Halloween the Art of Horror, I look at the art of Alfred Kubin. In "Epidemic", Kubin portrays death in the figure of a giant skeleton introducing pestilence to a snowbound winter village. He used a manual ink spray technique. 1/4

In light of @OGRolandRat 's recent arguments against the idea of diversity being inevitable and one direction, take a look at the demographics of Tbilisi, where Georgians went from being 24.2% of the capital's population in 1876 to being 57.5% by 1970. It was 89.9% in 2014.
