Deepseek R1 means data center build out increases not decreases. Energy is always the rate limiting step

@Astoll15 Less energy intensive models means more + better AI sooner - Not fewer data centers and less AI infrastructure. Energy is the rate limiting reagent.

@sbkaufman Wild Problems by Russ Roberts was a great read on this topic. He walks through the absurdity of pros cons lists for things like having children. "Fundementally altering what it means to be alive and to love" doesn't fit very nicely next too "traffic on way to soccer practice"
