This week I completed a tele-audiology exam to learn more about how we can increase access to quality healthcare in Florida. And estimated 4m Floridians suffer from hearing loss with as many as 50% going untreated. @hearcom_USA

This week in Tallahassee, I passed the first bill of the session through the Industries & Professional Activities Subcommittee. We held hearings with Citizens Property Insurance, FDOT, Dept. Commerce, & Dept. of Emergency Management. We also began working through the Governor’s proposed budget. I’m looking forward to getting to work on passing a fiscally responsible, balanced budget for you!

Florida’s student athletes have some of the best raw talent in the country, but we pay our coaches less than almost every other state in the Nation. As we continue to invest in the next generation of Floridians by supporting our teachers, we must do a better job supporting our coaches. The benefit they provide to our student athletes and our communities extends far beyond the field. @PayFLCoaches

Fiscal responsibility is not only about reducing spending. We must also maximize the ROI on the money we spend. There are a number of healthcare programs that we are funding & need to ensure they are being run efficiently and effectively. I'm looking forward to digging into the @desantis budget proposal and working with my colleagues to deliver a conservative balanced budget that works for all Floridians.

The FL House is laser focused on reducing the state budget and continuing to payoff debt. I received The Governor’s budget proposal and look forward to reviewing the details.
DESANTIS ON NEW BUDGET, $3B IN CUTS, 741 GOVT POSITION CUTS: Our budget is called "A Focus on Fiscal Responsibility," because that is what we are doing. You can be fiscally responsible, respect taxpayers, and still deliver on the main promises that you made, and public needs.
