I’m tired, lonely and maybe mildly depressed. Maybe like many people right now, with covid, Breonna Taylor, the elections... But it’s okay (no intervention needed). I’m looking forward to watching LeBron James being awesome tonight. This is a wink to anyone else feeling down.

When you are black, you get followed in the store, or get pull over for random traffic stops. At the same time the police looks the other way when the driver is blonde girl with or when frat boys commit crimes. Micro-aggressions get amplified in aggregate and this is the result.

I read the paper TLDR 🧵
- makes simplistic assumptions about volatility
- assumes Luna moons in booms but falls slowly in bears
- paper conclusions are more careful than the hyped last line of the abstract
- experts should hedge their statements more
