board, staff and volunteers, i pass my condolences to the family, friends and the people of Nyeri County, following the loss of the late Nyeri Governor.
In the last two weeks, the Kenya Red Cross Society has managed to set up two emergency water treatment plants in Kilifi and Makueni Counties, after water supply systems feeding Malindi, Magarini in Kilifi and Wote in Makueni, were destroyed by floods.
As a potential IFRC President, I am all about breaking barriers & building bridges.
Pillar 3 of my campaign focuses on empowering the Global South to fullfill global commitments through advanced localization, while working closely with the Global North.

The Kenya Red Cross reached a new milestone today after opening its doors to new clients at our new State-of-the-Art Rehabilitation Centre in Hindi, Lamu. This Level 4 facility has a 100 bed capacity and a Level 3 health centre, making it the Largest in East & Cental Africa.

It was a wonderful day in Kilifi where KRCS in partnership w/ the County, commissioned an emergency water treatment plant that is providing clean, treated water to many families. The plant is able to produce 1.2M litres of water in a day. Another one is being set up in Makueni.

At Bob Collymore's Memorial Service. Powerful speeches ongoing. Bob was a True Legend. I was very fortunate to have met him & his dear wife two weeks prior to his death. I thank God for the opportunity to have seen him a few days before taking his last journey. Rest well brother.
Today, i was delighted to have hosted a delegation from Qatar Red Crescent led by its Secretary General to the KRCS Rehab Centre in Lamu. Accompanying the delegation, was Qatar Amb to Kenya. The Rehab Centre, first of its kind in Kenya & the region has this week opened its doors.
Delighted to be part of the launch of a report on Disability Inclusion in Humanitarian Work in Baringo County. Baringo is the first county to map and study people with disabilities in Kenya.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have touched the lives of many individuals through acts of service.
Their stories inspire me daily & the resilience of people like Racheal continues to drive my commitment to making a positive impact.

With the ongoing rains and floods countrywide, KRCS staff and volunteers have been on high alert in all the 47 Counties. They are already responding in Nyanza, Western, Rift Valley, Upper Eastern, Lower Eastern, North Eastern and the Coast region.
Delighted to handover Iron sheets to families whose homes were destroyed by floods in Garashi, Kilifi. The Kenya Red Cross will construct 6692 homes in 25 counties, thanks to H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta for the Ksh 1B. I also thank the County Govt of Kilifi for its co-operation.

Happy to sign an MOU with H.E Governor Ali Korane for Madogashe Water Project, a joint initiative of the County Gov't & KRCS to provide water to over 50,000 people.
This will also see the extension of water supply from Saka Junction to Maalimin, a distance of approx 40 kms.

Togehter with IGAD Exe Sec H.E Amb (Eng) Mahboub Maalim & Mohammed Dahiye, Area Mp, we visited Ifo 2 refugee camp in Dadaab which was closed last year in May. Happy to see Kenya Red Cross' initiative to restore the environment by growing over 150, 000 trees including fruit trees.
It was a great honor to host the First Lady of the Republic of Kenya, H.E Margaret Kenyatta during the commissioning of Kajuki Water Treatment Plant. It is a project implemented by KRCS serving the current population of 5,000 ppl with capacity to serve over 20,000 in the future.
