@JoeMullinax @DamichaelC I think any team with a legit 5 (OKC, Denver) a concern until we see more Edey development and/or trust from Jenkins. Houston, Dallas, Clippers and Kings all have bigs who have created problems for Memphis too. All 4 of the west matchups in round 1 should be interesting though

@DrftAndStash @chriman_ Feels a lot more like 2010s OKC v Memphis to me. Memphis got desperate and went all in on Parsons which ended their dynasty. OKC ended up falling apart sooner than expected but Memphis was already doomed with the Parsons move

@chriman_ @DrftAndStash I would have supported that for sure. And we don’t know what did/didn’t get offered. But Vassell/Atlanta picks is significantly better than Smart plus all the picks. That’s all I’m getting at. Brooklyn had HIGH value and I don’t think Memphis could get there without GG

@DrftAndStash @chriman_ That’s an anomaly that looks like a GM on a power trip. More equivalent to ZK trading Ja than trading for a 4th best player. If Vassell/2 firsts didn’t get Cam, Smart plus all the first isn’t getting him. KD said no. I wanted a splash, but what could he do different there?

People on here can complain about Jenkins, his rotations, Kennard, Edey, etc all day long. Memphis goes where this guy takes them at the end of the day. Jaren has made the leap to be the 1A/1B. Memphis just has to get this guy with him. Fingers crossed he finds it

@StatsSAC 8 is so many but also feels like there were more than that. Every time Memphis started making any kind of run and the crowd came back to life, OKC hit a 3 to shut it down. Credit to them for that

@parkervb901 I’m not criticizing Ja the player bc he is phenomenal and Memphis goes where he goes. It looked like he played harder the 2/3 possession after Tee got ejected than he did at any other point tonight. I would love to see him that energized/angry all game in these big games
